Lunenburg House

A house for Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, developed during a studio led by architect Brian MacKay-Lyons. Old Town Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the legibility of the grid iron plan used by the British to establish a number of North American settlements. Responding to this and a hilled site, the house presents a modest front to its residential neighbours while growing towards the larger harbour buildings south side of the site.
