Timber Stack

Ten students worked together with our technical staff to produce this stacked structure over the course of a week. Intended primarily as an exercise to familiarise students with working at scale, the project required that pieces be sorted by their dimensions, an arrangement carefully worked out of all pieces and a post tensioning system to hold everything together. Once the timber being dried in this stack is needed the whole thing comes apart piece by piece.
